Code from anywhere. Your computers stay yours.
Luwu puts the terminals on your own Mac and Linux computers on your phone, your tablet and any browser. Open a tmux window on the train and keep typing where you left off. When Claude Code or Codex needs an answer, your phone tells you, and you reply from the notification. Connections are direct and encrypted end to end: your code never leaves the computer, and nobody in between can read what you type.
curl -fsSL https://luwu.dev/install.sh | shRun on each computer (macOS, Linux, or Windows with WSL), then run luwu to sign in.
See it work
One account, a Mac, a phone and a browser: answering an agent from a notification, running a saved prompt, keeping a note, and one window on two screens at once.
Out of the office, still at your computer.
Luwu doesn't move your work to a cloud box. It connects you to the computer where your tools, your files and your agents already are.
Phone, tablet, or any browser
Sign in and your computers are there: on an iPhone or Android phone, on an iPad, or on a borrowed laptop at app.luwu.dev. Mobile data, hotel Wi-Fi and office firewalls all work, with no VPN and nothing to set up on the network.
No server in the middle
Your device connects straight to your computer whenever the networks allow, so a keystroke doesn't make a round trip through someone else's server. When there is no direct path, the nearest relay passes the encrypted bytes along.
Your computer decides who gets in
Every device has its own key, and every connection is encrypted end to end. A new phone waits until you approve it, from a device you already have or on the computer itself. Your code, your keys and your .env files never leave the computer.
Made for Claude Code and Codex
Luwu knows when an agent is running, waiting for you, or done. Your phone tells you, and your answer goes back into the right terminal, once, while the question is still open.
How it works
- 1
Install on each computer
curl -fsSL https://luwu.dev/install.sh | shThen run
luwuand sign in with your email or Google. The computer stays reachable in the background. - 2
Open it from anywhere
Use the iPhone app (a beta on TestFlight), the Android app, or go to app.luwu.dev in any browser. Sign in with the same account and pick a computer.
- 3
Hear from your agents
luwu hooks installRun this once on the computer. When an agent finishes or asks something, your phone shows it, and you answer with a tap or a short reply.
Prefer to let your coding agent set it up? Point it at luwu.dev/install.md.
What you can do
Answer from the lock screen
When Claude Code asks a question or wants permission, the notification lists the options. Tap one, or type a reply, and it goes straight into that terminal.
Every computer, every window
Your tmux sessions on each computer, live. Type, scroll back, swipe between windows, start a new session.
On any computer, nothing to install
app.luwu.dev opens the same terminals in a browser, so an iPad or a borrowed laptop is enough.
The desktop, when a task needs it
See and control your Mac's screen through the same encrypted connection.
Files where the agent works
Browse and preview your projects. Upload a screenshot and its path is typed at the cursor, ready for the agent.
Prompts you reuse
Keep the instructions you send agents again and again, with blanks to fill in. Insert one with two taps.
Keep what matters
Save terminal output, or a link or photo from the share sheet, as a note you can find later.
Show someone a window
Share one window for an hour. They watch in a browser without an account, and you can end it at any time.
Direct when possible, relayed when not.
Your phone or browser connects straight to your computer when the networks allow it, with no server in the middle, so the terminal answers as fast as your network does. Otherwise the traffic goes through the nearest Luwu relay, which passes along encrypted bytes it can't read.
- Relay
- Direct connection
Your devices talk to each other. Not to us.
Each device has its own key, and every connection is encrypted end to end. Luwu's servers vouch for which devices belong to you; they never see what you type or read.
Your computer checks every device that connects, waits for your approval before a new one gets in, and never shares ~/.ssh, cloud credentials or .env files. How it works
One computer, free, for as long as you like
The Free plan has 1 computer with 2 terminal sessions started through Luwu, any number of windows in them, and 2 phones or browsers. Basic adds computers; Pro adds the desktop and files. Pay for a month or a year, nothing renews by itself.
In the Classic of Mountains and Seas, Luwu (陆吾) guards the gates of Mount Kunlun: nine tails, a tiger's body, a watchful face. Luwu keeps the gate to your computers, and lets in only your own devices and the people you invite.
